This archive contains source, documentation, and examples files for
the AnaVHDL mixed-signal circuit-level simulator. The entire
simulator is written in VHDL. Signal type conversion functions are
used to interface digital and analog circuits. The users guide is
included in the directory "doc". There are three benchmark circuits
which can be used to test the performance of the simulator, which are
included in the directory "examples". Each benchmark circuit is in a
separate directory which includes README files and the necessary VHDL
and SPICE descriptions for the respective benchmarks.

The MCC Version 3.2 VHDL simulator was used to develop AnaVHDL. Minor
changes (particularly external file references) may be necessary if
other VHDL simulators are used.

AnaVHDL was originally written by Ms. Wenying Zhou in 1991.
In 1992/3 Subramanyam Bangalore wrote the type conversion functions and
examples, and updated the original AnaVHDL to support multiple analog
circuits.
